Early exposure to playing in various keys promotes a strong foundation for fluent reading. and an understanding of music theory. Beginning Piano Multi-Key Reading introduces elementary pianists to twelve Major five-finger positions and key signatures. These keys and positions are presented in groups of similar keyboard topography to facilitate learning and coordination. Warm-ups, etudes, and short pieces provide reading experiences all over the grand staff, helping students to avoid getting stuck in the Middle C, C and G Major positions.
