Kassaundra Rodriguez, Soprano and Music Teacher:
Kassaundra Rodriguez is originally from Buffalo, NY, but is now a local Pittsburgh resident. A long-time vocalist and voice student herself, it is her great pleasure to pass on her love of singing and her passion for vocal health to those around her. In developing her craft, Kassaundra has had the privilege of working with Mrs. Rhonda Weider, Dr. Katherine Mueller, Dr. Sasha Piastro, and Mrs. Tara Savarino in different stages of her career.
Kassaundra was the 2016 Grove City College Concerto and Aria Competition winner, and was a Kenny Award nominee for her role as Julia Sullivan in The Wedding Singer (2014). Favorite performances include Mrs. Potts (Beauty and the Beast), Susan Lawrence (Big: The Musical), and Soprano soloist for Handel’s Messiah and Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass. Presently, Kassaundra is an active member of the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh (Soprano) and performs at her local church on a regular basis.
As a choral director, Kassaundra has worked with the Grove City College Touring Choir and Chamber Singers, and has been the Vocal Director for Eden Christian Academy’s musicals for four years. She also assists with choral events at North Park Church in McCandless, PA. In addition to teaching vocal and choral music, Kassaundra has taught beginner and intermediate piano lessons since 2012.
