Chris Pickering, Voice Teacher:

Chris Pickering has been teaching for almost 20 years and loves helping students develop their musical potential. He believes that lessons should be light-hearted while remaining focused on developing the student’s skills.
Chris holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Music Education from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania with an emphasis in Voice. He has taught and performed a wide range of vocal styles including classical, choral, jazz, theater, and rock. As a choral director, Chris’ ensembles regularly received Superior ratings in competition.
Chris teaches classical singing technique but knows that his students’ musical interests are varied. His main goal as a vocal coach is to help his students sing with healthy technique in whatever styles they prefer.
He currently performs most weekends with his rock band Flying Blind as a singer and guitarist.
