Austin Durham, Bassoon
Austin Durham is a freelance bassoonist and private teacher in the Pittsburgh area. He received his Master of Music and Artist Diploma in Bassoon Performance from Duquesne University and his Bachelor of Music in Bassoon Performance from Rutgers University. As an undergraduate, he studied with Dr. Christopher Wickham and won the Presser Foundation Undergraduate Scholar Award for outstanding musical and academic achievement. At Duquesne, he was awarded a full tuition scholarship and studied with Philip Pandolfi of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Durham has performed with many different ensembles throughout Pennsylvania and West Virginia, including the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra, Butler County Symphony Orchestra, and Black Diamond Philharmonic.
